The Khalifa General, Marabout Alhagie Cherno Amadou Jallow, has commended the people of Kerr Mama village in Upper Niumi District in the North Bank Region for their contribution to the promotion and development of Islam in the village.
Marabout Jallow made this remark's in his Tobaski sermon at Kerr Mama praying ground.
He thanked the Alkalo of Kerr Mama, natives of Kerr Mama and His Excellency Professor Alhaji A.J.J. Jammeh and his government for their tremendous contribution towards the promotion of Islam in The Gambia.
He prayed for peace, unity and stability to prevail in The Gambia and other Muslim countries.
He advised the talibes of Kerr Mama to continue attending QuranicSchool and education and he also advised the villagers of Kerr Mama to control their animals so they do not destroy people's crops.
"I think the president has done a lot for this country so I must applauded him for his contribution to the development of The Gambia and also improving and developing the lives of the Gambian people," Marabout Jallow concluded.
