The 2010 Gunjur knockout champions, Manchester United
beat Turkey FC 4-3 on post-match penalty kicks to progress to the semi-finals
of the ongoing Gunjur knockout competition after drawing 1-1 in regulation time
in their quarterfinal game played at the Gunjur football field at the weekend.
Turkey FC opened the score through Omar Barrow in the 5th minute of the game, before Amadou Kebba levelled it for Manchester United in the 7th minute.
This pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout which ended 4-3 in favour of Manchester United.
Oxford United sailed to the quarterfinal after a convincing 2-0 win over Late Demba FC, with goals from Jerreh Sambou (alias Torres) and Abdou Joof in the 25th and 69th minutes respectively.
