Man Sentenced For Stealing

Magistrate J.A.Effim of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Mustapha Mbaye to a fine of D2500, in default to serve six months in prison for stealing from a motor vehicle.

According to the particulars of offence, on 30th October 2009, at Kunkujang Village in the Western Region, the convict stole two tires from a motor vehicle with a registration number BJL1357C, valued at D12000 being the property of one Mamudou Touray.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and was accordingly sentenced.
