A man was last Friday morning found hanging dead on top of a mango tree in the village of Sinchu Alhagie in Kombo North, Western Region.
Jebbel Ceesay, 36, is said to be a native of Jimbala Village in Upper Saloum district, Central River Region.
According to Fanna Mbaye, the bereaved wife, on Thursday after taking dinner around 9pm, her late husband told her he was going out to an unspecified place but never returned.
Narrating the ordeal, Fanna said she thought her late husband had spent the night at Kunkujang where he got his second milling machine, but to her shock and dismay he was found hanging dead on top of a mango tree, behind a mechanic workshop, which is some 50 metres away from his house.
"I don't know the circumstances surrounding the death of my husband. I have never seen him quarrel with anybody rather had malice with somebody in the village," says Mrs. Mbaye.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
