Barry, who was convicted for malicious injury and willful damage to property, was also ordered to pay a compensation of D2,800.
Delivering the judgement, the presiding magistrate told the court that the accused person was brought before the court and charged with two counts of malicious injury and willful damage to property
He said the particulars of the offence stated that on 19 January 2015, at the Gamtel Internet Café, he destroyed the door glasses valued at D2,800, the property of the said internet café.
He denied the allegation and to clear his case the prosecutor brought two witnesses and tendered one exhibit, which is the broken glasses.
He said the prosecution witnesses testified as to what happened on the day in question and the accused also testified in defence as to what happened.
He said looking at the testimony of the prosecution witnesses and also the exhibit tendered, the court was convinced that the prosecution had proven its case beyond all reasonable doubts.
He consequently convicted and sentenced him accordingly.
