Man convicted for attempting to commit felony

One Surahata Jammeh was recently convicted and sentenced to serve three years in prison with hard labour by magistrate Omar Jabang of the Bundung magistrates’ court for the offence of attempting to commit a felony.

When the charge sheet was read, Jammeh pleaded guilty to the charge of attempt to commit a felony, and the trial magistrate asked the prosecuting officer, Corporal 3466 B Sawanneh, to read the facts of the case.

Asked whether the facts narrated by the prosecuting officer were correct, the convicted person admitted the facts.

Based on his plea of guilty, he was convicted and sentenced accordingly.

The IGP was represented by corporal 3466 B Sawanneh.
