Man City FC defeated LK Demba FC by a goal to nil in Monday's final group stage match in the Banjul Nawetaan Championship, at the Gambia Senior Secondary School field in the 5p.m encounter.
LK Demba opened the game by putting pressure on their opponents and in the 20th minute of play in the first period, they came so close to opening the scores, but failed to hit the back of the net.
Later on, the unsettled Man City FC was able to come back in the game and created some impressive goal attempts, but also failed to capitalise on these limited chances and so the first period ended a goalless draw.
In the 61st minute of the game, center-back Muhammed Jatta scored a spectacular header from a corner kick to give his side the lead, but LK Demba quickly reacted with some goal attempts but still failed to hit the main target.
After this goal, the game was completely in the hands of Man City FC and Muhammed Jatta's only goal was enough to secure the maximum points for his side and so the game ended 1-0 in favour of Man City FC.
