According to the charge sheet that was read in court, between 2010 and 2011, in Banjul, the accused person, Amadou Jallow, allegedly wrote a petition to the Office of the President through the Secretary General, stating that Ballast Nedam Construction Company destroyed his cashew farm at Kanuma village while constructing the Jinak Jataba road, an information he knew to be false.
Amadou Jallow denied the charge, and was subsequently granted court bail of D50, 000.
The case at that juncture was adjourned to 3rd October 2011.
