Man arraigned for theft after conviction

One Lamin Jadama was Monday arraigned before Magistrate S. Sanneh of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with two counts of theft after conviction, and theft again.

The charge sheet on count one stated that the accused, Lamin Jadama, on 23 December 2012, at Brikama Market, stole one sewing machine gold in colour marked A.S.K.A valued at D40,000, and four pieces of materials valued at D800, total value D40,800, being the property of one Sanna Manneh.

Count two stated that the accused person on 6 August 2014, at Brikama, entered into the house of one Momodou Lamin Manneh and stole one computer keyboard valued at D200, and one computer mouse valued at D150, total value of D350, being the property of Momodou Lamin Manneh.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to the prosecutor, the accused was convicted and sentenced to keep the peace for a period of five years and was bailed by one surety.

The case continues 1 September 2014,for hearing.
