A man was recently arraigned before Magistrate Edward Singhateh of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.
Ebrima Njie pleaded not guilty of the charge and was granted court bail of D3,000 with a Gambian surety who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit an ID card.
The charge sheet stated that, on 6 May 2011, at Yaranbamba Estate, West Coast Region, the accused, Ebrima Njie, allegedly stole a pedal bicycle valued at D1, 500, the property of one Saihou Gumaneh.
The case was adjourned till 26 May 2011.
