One Mr.
Sheriffo Danso of Bundung town was on 29 September 2008 , arraigned before Magistrate Kumba
Sillah Camara of the Bundung Magistrates' Court on a charge of obtaining money
by false pretence.
According to the sheet, on or about June 2007 at Bundung, the accused person obtained the sum of D25, 000 from one Sulayman Jammeh of Bundung. He pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.
He was granted court bail in the sum of D30, 000 with one Gambian surety who shall deposit his/her National ID Card and a reachable address to the court.
The case was at that juncture adjourned until a latter day for the prosecution to open his case.
In another developmen,t one Gibby Cissey was on 29September 2008, arraigned before Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara of the Bundung Magistrates'Court for alleged defilement of a girl under the age of 18 years.
However the plea of Mr. Gibby Cissey could not be taken due to the nature of the charge sheet. The prosecuting officer in the case applied for an adjournment in order to amend the charge sheet.
The application was granted and the case was adjourned until a later day.
