Man arraigned for housebreaking and stealing

One Shering Fass Sillah was Monday arraigned before Magistrate M. Sarre of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court on four counts of housebreaking and stealing.

On count one, the particulars of offence stated that the accused, Shering Fass Sillah, on 4 November 2014 at Kerr Serigne in the Kombo North district of the West Coast Region, broke into the house of one Ousainou Mbye with intent to commit a felony, and thereby committed an offence.

Court two stated that on the same date and place, he stole the following items: two laptops brand Toshiba valuedat D16, 000, one Africell phone valued at D399, one Samsung phone valued at D1, 600, with a total value D17, 799 being the property of Ousainou Mbye, and thereby committed an offence

Count 3 stated that on the same date and place, he broke into the house of one Abdou Ceesay with intent to steal, and thereby committed an offence.

Count four stated that on the same date and place, he stole the following items: two Samsung Galaxy valued at D16, 000, cash of D4, 000, one tablet of unknown value and a DVD player of unknown value, being the properties of Abdou Ceesay and thereby committed an offence.

He denied the charges and was granted court bail of D75, 000 with two Gambian sureties, who should deposit their ID cards.

The case was adjourned to 20 November 2014, for hearing.
