Man arraigned for burglary and theft

One Balla Secka was recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with housebreaking and stealing.

According to the charge sheet on count one, the accused, Balla Secka, on 9 October 2011, at Bakau, in the Kanifing Municipality, broke and entered into the house of the complainant, with intent to commit a felony, therein to wit stealing.

Count two read that Secka stole the following: one Nokia phone valued at D2,000, one QCell phone valued at D3,030 and  an Erikson phone valued at D3,000, all being the property of one Lamin Koma.

Meanwhile, the accused, Balla Secka, was granted court bail of D10, 000 with a Gambian surety.
