One Jawo Ceesay was yesterday arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with being in possession of prohibited drug.
The particulars of offence stated that the accused, Jawo Ceesay, on 17 February 2012, at Farefenni, in the North Bank Region, had in his possession 270mg of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug and thereby committed an offence.
He was granted court bail of D300, 000 with two Gambian sureties.
The case was adjourned till 29 May 2012.
In a separate but related development, one Omar Darboe was also arraigned at the same court charged with being in possession of prohibited drug.
According to the charge sheet read in court, the accused, Omar Darboe, on 22 February 2012, at Gunjur, in the West Coast Region, had in his possession 200 grams of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug.
He was granted court bail of D300, 000 with two Gambian sureties.
The case was adjourned till 29 May 2012.
On the same day, one Ngansu Dibba was also arraigned at the same court, charged with being in possession of prohibited drug.
The charge sheet read that on 30 January 2012, at Farefenni, in the North Bank Region, the accused, Ngansu Dibba, had in his possession 25 grams of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug.
He was granted court bail of D300, 000 with two Gambian sureties.
