Mbemba Marong, who was charged with stealing, was
on 26 February 2015 paraded before Magistrate Bojang of the Kanifing
Magistrates’ Court. He denied any wrongdoing.
Prosecutors alleged that the accused, Mbemba Marong, in the month of December 2014 at Serrekunda in the Kanifing Municipality, stole two PVC banners valued at D12,600, the property of Smart Media Company, and thereby committed an offence.
Magistrate Bojang granted him bail in the sum of D20,000 with one Gambian surety who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit an ID card with the court registrar.
Prosecutor CPL 2717 Jallow represented the Inspector General of Police.
The case was adjourned to 11 March 2015, for hearing.
