Reports reaching this paper have revealed that Mr Malang Saibo Camara has been appointed the new deputy governor for Central River Region.
According to our sources, the position was vacant for about four months before Mr Camara took charge.
Mr Camara, prior to this development, was the chairman of Janjangbureh Area Council (JAC) from 2002 to 2007.
Also, before his election as chairman of JAC, Mr Camara was a headmaster.
He served as a classroom teacher in over twenty schools in the West Coast, Lower River, Upper River and Central River regions from 1975 to 2002.
When contacted the new deputy governor confirmed the story. He thanked President Jammeh and expressed his loyalty to the president and the APRC party.
