Ballanghar Society, an organised group of young people originally from Ballanghar Village Lower Saloum District, Central River Region, residing in the Greater Banjul Areas, who are co-organisers of the wrestling competition at the 'Dekally Sunu Chosan' (reviving our culture) Wrestling Arena has disclosed major offer for the upcoming weekend wrestling activity, taking place at Kunkujang Keitaya Village.
For the first time in the history of 'Dekally Chosan' a Wollof saying (reviving our culture) wrestling events, the organisers would this weekend offer a bull for the champion of next weekend, while the second best wrestler will receive 12 bags of cement, and the third position will receive 8 bags of cement.
Unveiling this at the wrestling park last Sunday, 11th April 2010, Mr. Alhagie Cham, presenter of the West Coast Radio weekly wrestling programme, held every Tuesday night, said the selection criteria for the first three winners will be based on a number of defeats wrestlers have.
