Feb 6, 2015, 10:37 AM 1 min read Updated Aug 21, 2020
Magistrate Fatty’s trial failed to proceed on Thursday before principal Magistrate Abeke of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court.

The case was set for the continuation of cross-examination of the first prosecution witness (PW1), the complainant, Patricia Fangawa, by the defence counsel, LS Camara.

However, the case could not proceed as the trial magistrate was reportedly bereaved and was attending a funeral.

Magistrate Fatty is facing trial on four counts of official corruption, abuse of office and receiving money to grant favour.

So far, the court has heard the testimony of PW1, who explained what had transpired between her and the accused person.

The case was adjourned to 11 February 2015.
