The seventh edition of the late Pa Modou Sarr Memorial Basketball tournament gets underway at the Serrekunda West mini-Stadium Basketball Lawn on Friday.
Eight teams are vying for the championship. These are Wallidan Basketball team, Sports House Basketball team, Manjai Boyz Basketball team, Kanifing Basketball team, Serrekunda East team, YMCA Basketball team, Lamen Basketball team and Procupine Basketball team.
Serrekunda East Basketball team beat Kanifing Basketball team 43 to 33points in the opening game in group A at the Serrekunda West mini-Stadium Basketball Lawn on Friday.
On Saturday 12 February 2011, Sports House Basketball team defeated Procupine Basketball team by 34 points to 31 in group B, while Wallidan Basketball team defeated Manjai Boyz Basketball team 54 to 14 points also in group B the same day.
