Late Max Jallow’s family welfare account opened

Jul 29, 2013, 9:48 AM

Friends and other acquaintances of the late Mamudou Max Jallow have opened a bank account to raise funds for the late sports and youth activist’s young family.

The former executive secretary of the National Sports Council and prominent civil servant died suddenly and shockingly on May 19 this year leaving behind a young family of school-going age.

“We have firm belief that Max’s life touched so many others and it would be unfair for his young family to feel his absence in terms of welfare so soon after his demise. We take this initiativeconvinced that anything given to the fund is a well-earned solidarity for Max , considering his long service to communities and the nation,’’ said Ba Jabbie, chairman of the Brufut Marathon which Max founded in 1994.

The account, number 0150543274700 and the Swift Code - SCBLMGM, is at the Standard Chartered Bank Serekunda Branch.

Persons wanting to contribute could contact Ba Jabbie on 00220-9918563.
