Lamin Car Crash Causes Serious Damages

A serious road accident happened on Sunday 7 June 2009 in Lamin, Kombo North, when two vehicles seriously ram into each other causing damage to both vehicles and business structures within the vicinity of the accident, this paper can reveal.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Gambia Police Force, ASP Sulayman Secka, the vehicle with a registration number BJL 9225B Mark Isuzu was driven by one Faffa Touray, who was at the time coming from Brikama going towards Serrekunda.

Upon reaching Lamin GALP petrol station, another vehicle with a registration number BJL 4557E driven by one Sunkung Signhateh of Lamin, was also turning to GALP petrol station, while the other vehicle was coming from Serrekunda without stopping to give chance to other oncoming vehicles from Brikama. His vehicle hit the vehicle coming from Brikama and as a result the vehicle subsequently knocked the petrol station machine. 

The police spokesperson used the occasion to warn all the road users to take greater care on the road.
