Kombo South District Tourney round-up

Sifoe have maintained their hundred percent record in the ongoing Kombo South District Football Tournament after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Berending in group A at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field on Saturday.

Gunjur were held to a goalless draw by Kartong in group C fixtures at the Sifoe playground that same day.

Sanyang have also maintained their hundred percent record in the tournament after a narrow 1-0 victory over Banyaka in group B at the Gunjur playground at the weekend.

Substitute left-back Kebba Sanyang scored the lone goal in the 47th minute of the game that ensured Sanyang collect their second victory in the tournament.

Jambur snatched their first win in the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Tujereng in group B encounter at the Sanyang playground the same weekend.

Sifoe are still leading group A with maximum 9 points in three games, while Berending are 3rd position in group A with 3 points in three games.

On the other hand, Sanyang are leading group B with maximum 6 points in two outings, while Tujereng are 2nd in group B with 3 points in two games followed by Jambur on 3rd position with 3 points.

Kartong are sitting at the top of group C with 2 points in two games while Gunjur occupy 2nd position with a single point in one outing.
