The GFA National Women League Division One outfit Kinteh's United, who escaped relegation to the second division after a strings of disappointing results last season got off to an unconvincing start to the campaign as they suffered a 2-nil defeat to promoted Armed Forces side at the Real football field on Sunday.
The Bakau outfit who only managed one victory last season was stunned by the soldier girls with a two powerful strikes when Haddy Jatta and Aji Jallow put their names on the scoresheet to frustrate Kinteh's hope of snatching a victory as part of the opening fixtures.
Despite the presence of star striker and Captain Hella Dicko, who made several attempts to rescue her side from conceding the defeat, Kinteh's United could not even managed to score one at least.
The defeat has confirmed their poor start to yet another women league season after similar poor performance which saw them sit second from bottom place with only 3 points.
Meanwhile, in the Women Second Division League, which kicked-off on Saturday saw relegated Makasutu collected their first victory of the campaign after beating City Girls 1-nil at Real Field on Saturday, while Future BI also entertained Jam City to a 2-1 defeat at the Box Bar Mini-stadium in Brikama on Sunday.
