King Colley Praises U-17, GFA Marketing Committee

Lamin King Colley, President of Brikama Youth and Sports Association (BYSA) is blissful of praises for The Gambia National U-17 team, who recently lifted the 2009 CAF U-17 Youth Championship in Algiers. He also commended the GFA marketing committee for raising fund for the team which has contributed greatly toward the team's success in the 2009 CAF U-17 Championship.

He said that The Gambia U-17 players made Gambians proud and the GFA marketing committee under the chairmanship of CDS Major General Lang Tombong Tamba who have done greatly in raising fund for the team and also organised training camp for the boys as part of preparation for the tournament.

ASP King Colley, further revealed that in order to repeat the same success in the cadet world cup in the offing, he urged GFA to prepare the team as early as possible so that they can performance well in FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by Nigeria in October 24th 2009.

He commended President Jammeh for the valuable contribution toward the development of football in the country. He advised the players to make best use of the money given to them by President Jammeh for lifting the trophy for the second time in history of cadet football.

ASP called on Gambians to come forward and support the team both morally and financially so that they can perform well in the World Cup.
