Alhagie Mbenga, a resident of Fass Njagachoi in the North Bank Region, is seeking support from the government and philanthropists to go for an overseas treatment.

A medical report from Francis Small Teaching Hospital, FSTH, confirmed that the patient, who is suffering from kidney problems, is in serious health condition to undergo overseas treatment.

The 27-year-old has been battling with the problem since last year, when he was admitted both at FSTH, formerly RVTH and another hospital in Dakar, Senegal, where he spent over a month.

On medical examination, the patient’s pancreas was not visible, the gallbladder was also septated.

His brother, Ebrima Mbenga, said Alhagie is married with two kids and has also drastically loose weight beyond imagination.

The family, he said, is poor and has spent all their limited resources on Alhagie’s health, both at RVTH and in Dakar.
