Scoring 3 goals in their week eight encounter against Young Africans, Kaira Silo have earned themselves a major victory in the second division league.
The team started with what looked like a not impressive performance. In eight matches they had four draws against Brikama United, Tallinding United, Serrekunda East and Nema United, losing twice to Ham Ham and against Jambanjelly.
The 3-0 victory against Young Africans has given them a second win after beating Starlight 1-0 in week six. They have now gained three more points adding up to 10 and seven points behind leaders Brikama. Brikama was awarded three points by the organising committee following Flamemins absence at the ground in their week 7.
Starlight drew 1-1 with Jambanjelly, T/United defeated Serrekunda East 2-0, while HAM HAM lost to Flamemins 1-0.
Last evening as we went to Press, Brikama United was taking on their fellow contenders Nema United at the Serrekunda East mini stadium.
