The Gambia Lawn Tennis Junior Championship which was initially scheduled for December 24th has been rescheduled for December 26th at the Lawn Tennis Court, Pointsport was reliably informed.

According to the tennis Coach, Lamin Drammeh who just returned home from Dakar, Senegal alongside his comrade Basuruwa Conteh where they underwent a four-day tennis coaching course for West and Central Africa, the reason for the rescheduled is that December 24th coincides with the Christmas Eve.

This, he added, prompted the tennis association to make an immediate chance so that the competition can attract immense participation.

The tournament that is expected to feature young tennis players at the age of 14th and under, Drammeh highlighted is aimed at encouraging young tennis players so that they can be able to select them based on their performances or rankings.

The competition is part of the Gambia Lawn Tennis Association's efforts to encourage and promote the new tennis players in order to expose them to the highest standards.
