President Yahya Jammeh has made more cabinet appointments, this time retaining the minister of foreign affairs, international relations and Gambians abroad; higher education, research, science and technology; and a redeployment of the former minister of trade as minister of fisheries and water resources.

A statement from the presidency said yesterday that Dr Momodouu Tangara, minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr Mariama Sarr-Ceesay, minister of Higher Education will all retain their posts in the former cabinet.

However, Jammeh has now appointed Abdou Colley, former minister of Trade, Employment and Regional Integration as the new minister of Fisheries and Water Resources, a post held by Lamin Kaba Bajo in the former cabinet.

President Jammeh last Friday also reappointed Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy as vice president and minister of women’s affairs, Ousman Sonko as minister of the interior, Fatou Mass Jobe-Njie as minister of tourism and Mambury Njie as minister of finance and economic affairs, posts they all held in the former cabinet.
