Jammeh appoints new Presidential Affairs minister

President Yahya Jammeh has appointed Mrs Yam Bamba Njie-Keita as Minister of Presidential Affairs.

She has replaced Soulayman Samba, who remains secretary general and head of the civil service, according to a state TV broadcast last night.

Mrs Njie-Keita, the first female Gambian to occupy the post of Minister of Presidential Affairs, was appointed Permanent Secretary Office of the President in October 2015.
