One Ebrima Daffeh of Brikama Jamisa was last Tuesday convicted and sentenced by the Principal Magistrate Emmanuel E. Amadi of the Brikama Magistrates' Court, to a fine of D1000, in default to serve three months in prison for stealing from a dwelling house.
According the facts narrated by the Police Prosecutor 1st class 229, Lamin Jammeh it happened on 18th September 2009, at Jamisa when the convict Ebrima Daffeh came to the place of one Foday Sidibeh, with the complainant Lamin Danso. He stated that while the complainant was in the kitchen preparing food, the accused entered into the complainant's sitting room and stole his mobile phone.
He narrated that the complainant reported the matter to the Brikama Police Station and later investigation was mounted leading to the arrest of the accused, who confessed stealing the mobile phone (Sonny Erickson).
He said the accused was later cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
