According to information sent to Entertainment via an e-mail message, the International Women's Day worldwide touring art exhibition will be held in The Gambia come Sunday 7th March 2010 at the Mama Africa Museum and Art Centre in Batokunku village.
According to the press release, over 20 female artists from around the world will exhibit at the art centre. The opening ceremony will take place the day before International Women's Day, and is expected to be witnessed by senior government officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and representatives of non governmental organisations in the country. The exhibition called "Freedom, Equality, Fraternity For Humans" starts in The Gambia and will continue as a touring exhibition to other women's museums around the world, such as in

The exhibition is the next event set to highlight the work of artists by the renowned Gambian artist after the grand opening in mid February 2010 of her art center.
