Interior male volleyball team have suffered yet another defeat, three sets to one, in the hands of Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East in Wednesday's National Volleyball League clash at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium Volleyball Lawn.
Interior are still on three points in five league games after managing to win a single game, while Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East male volleyball team collected nine points in four fixtures.
Alagie Babou Joof, the head coach of Olympafrica Centre/ Serrekunda East male volleyball team, after game said his boys underperformed during the game, despite winning by 3 sets to 1 set.
He expressed confidence that, with this team, he is hopeful of winning the league, as his side is a threat to other contestants.
Alagie Ceesay, the head coach of Interior male volleyball team, who was disappointed with the defeat, said that Interior is a completely different team this year, as most of his players have transferred to opposing side - the Gamtel/Gamcel male team, while others are busy playing football.
Meanwhile, Musa Casa Taal, the President of the Gambia Volleyball Association (GVBA), said all participating teams are responding very positively in the league, adding that the only problem the association is faced with at the moment is lack of sponsorship.
