Twelve Lower Basic School Handball competition organised by Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) is currently producing some results to be proud of at the Serrekunda East Handball Court.
On Saturday 16th July 2011, New Jeshwang Lower Basic School beat their neighbours Old Jeshwang Lower Basic School by 2-0 while Tallinding Annex Lower Basic School beat Abuko Lower Basic School by the same score line on the same day.
On Friday 15th July 2011, Bundung Lower Basic School lost to St. Thereses Lower Basic School by 3-1 while Latirkunda Sabiji Lower Basic School drew 4-4 with Serrekunda Lower Basic School on Thursday 14th July 2011.
On Sunday 10th July 2011, Abuko Lower Basic School lost to Bakoteh Proper Lower Basic School by 7-10.
Earlier on Saturday 9th July 2011, Tallinding Proper Lower Basic School beat St. Thereses Lower Basic School by 9-1 while St. Charles L’Wanga Lower Basic School lost to Serrekunda Lower Basic School by 2-0 on the same day.
In the opening day of the competition on Friday 8th July 2011, Tallinding Annex Lower Basic School drew 3-3 with Latrikunda Sabiji Lower Basic School while New Jeshwang Lower Basic School by Bundung Lower Basic School by 2-0 on the same day.
Malick Jarra, Handball Program Officer for Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation said the competition is meant to promote grass root handball within the zone and also to have a strong handball selection team for Serrekunda East.
