The donation was supported mainly by the (IGMG HASSANE) Foundation Based in Germany, and the distribution was conducted by the officials of CHRO, and some of their donor partners were also on the ground to see for themselves the way the bulls were distributed to the beneficiaries.

Speaking at the distribution centre at Abuko, the head of the delegation from the Turkish IGMG HASENE organisation, Saglik Hizmetleri, said their mission in The Gambia is to witness the distribution of the gifts their organization (IGMG HASENE) had provided for vulnerable people all over the world.

This was why IGMG HASENE sent representatives to witness the distribution and slaughtering of the bulls on Tobaski day with the collaboration of their brothers in Gambia and Africa.

According to him, IGMG HASENE is not only operating in The Gambia, but all over the world and has 420 volunteers working with the organisation.

Mr Saglik added that IGMG HASENE and CHRO in The Gambia have been partnering for 14 years since 2006, and they hope to work with them for another 14 years in the future.

“We support the Gambian people because they are our brothers, because the holy Quran said any person who believes in ALLAH should support others, especially the powerless people. We are very delighted to support our Muslim brothers in the Gambia who need our help,” he stated.

His advice to the beneficiaries was for them to know that there are brothers all over in Europe and in Turkey, and they need only prayers from their Muslim brothers in The Gambia.

Apart from the Tobaski package, IGMG HASENE have projects for orphans, a food aid campaign during Ramadan and also dig wells for local communities in The Gambia

The chairman of the CHRO, MomodouLamin A Jarju, who doubles as the imam of KabafitaLayout, expressed delight and appreciationto see their brothers from Germany coming to giveassistance to their Muslim brothers in The Gambia, especially on ARAFAT day,a daywhich is very important in the Muslim calendar.
