The Gambia’s long distance runner Mariama T. Jallow has said she was not disappointed at her performance despite snatching second spot in the female 10-kilometre race of the annual Gunjur Kulukochi Anti-Malaria Marathon race.
Mariama was speaking to Poinsports shortly after the event on Saturday in Gunjur.
She said she was tired due to her participation in a recent marathon in Senegal, adding that she was not at all disappointed that she could not take first position.
Mariam further stated that she would go back and prepare well for next year.
She expressed optimism that she would certainly deliver to expectations come next year.
