A man called Momodou Bangura was on Wednesday convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison and 2 years in prison respectively for housebreaking and stealing by the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.
The charge sheet on count one stated that Momodou Bangura, on 10 August 2012, at Sanchaba, in the Kanifing Municipality, broke and entered into the house of one Muhammed Jagne, with intent to commit felony.
Count two read that he stole from the said house the following: one DVD laptop player valued at D700, four pairs of leather shoes valued at D800, two shorts valued at D200 and one radio tape player valued at D800, being the property of the said Muhammed Jagne.
