In a press release addressed to all media houses and signed by GVBA president, Yunusa Barry, the association said they received the news of the reopening of the bureau with “utmost joy”.
“This is indeed a move in the right direction and we are convinced that it is in the interest of our dear athletes and the country as a whole,” the release stated.
“While we thank Government once more for this brilliant move, we take this opportunity to join you in urging the general public to cooperate with you in your efforts towards developing Gambian sports,” the release concludes.
