Gunjur Upper Basic School has retained the West Coast Region Upper Basic inter-schools athletics heats title for the fourth time in succession.
They have now secured an impressive total of 263 points in the process.
The competition was held on Saturday at the Brikama Upper Basic School playground.
The event is part of preparations ahead the start of the annual National Inter-schools Athletics Championship finals slated for 11 and 12 March 2011, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The keenly contested heats competition, witnessed by large crowd from Brikama and its satellite villages, was characterised by delightful exhibition of skills by athletes from various Upper Basic Schools across West Coast Region.
Brikama Upper Basic School occupied 2nd position with 210 points while Kabafita Upper Basic School finished 3rd position with 203.
