Nyassi Jatta of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education recently presided over the inauguration of a new classroom block at Gunjur Upper Basic School, funded by Happy Foundation and Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
In his inaugural speech, Mr. Jatta thanked Happy Foundation and the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education for sponsoring the project.
He said the new classroom block would really enhance quality education in the school.
Mr. Jatta urged the beneficiary schools and communities to make the best use of the new classroom block.
The Principal Education Officer for Region Two, Mr. Baboucarr Suwareh, said the new classroom was funded by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and Happy Foundation.
The principal of Gunjur Upper Basic School, Yaya M. Jobe, revealed that the newly constructed classroom block would be used by grade seven students of the school.
Mr. Jobe seized the opportunity to thank the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and Happy Foundation for funding the project.
