Kombo South outfit Gunjur United have started intensive training ahead of the 2013 Gambia Football Association GFA third division triangular qualifiers at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field.

Gunjur United, who were relegated to the third tier of Gambian football last season after finishing second position from bottom with 17 points in eighteen games, are a single point behind third position-holder from bottom Banjul United, who have bagged 18 points in eighteen games.

The team recently started intensive training for the 2013 GFA triangular qualifiers expected to get underway later this year and will be hoping to win their games in grand styles to return to the second tier.

The team has lost several key players to topflight clubs including prolific striker Saikouba Manneh, who joined the 2010-2011 league winner Brikama United on one-year loan deal and Dodou Saine joined the newly promoted side Interior whilst several other players have left the South outfit for greener pasture.
