The final of the long-awaited Gunjur league tournament is billed for tomorrow at the Gunjur playground.
The game will feature Commit FC and QCell FC. Both sides have never reached league final in Gunjur nawettan. They laid a consistent performance this season which has earned them a place in the final of this year’s show.
Commit FC beat Qcell FC 2-0 in the opening game in the group stage, before hammering newcomers Manchester United FC 5-0 in their final group game.
This has earned them a place in the quarter final where they eliminated last league runners up Nyokoyorr FC 1-0 and went on to beat last year’s league champions Oxford United FC 4-3 on post-match penalty shootout in the semi final.
QCell FC were beaten 2-0 by Commit FC in group C opening game. They reacted by beating Manchester United FC and Asselem FC 2-1 in their second and third game to secure a place in the quarterfinal where they humiliated in-form Passamai FC 4-0.
QCell FC went on to thrash World Eleven FC 3-1 in the semifinal.
In Nuimi, Niambelly United will meet Medina Seedia in the curtain raiser of the second edition of the Toubakolong Noran championship on Saturday.
The ten-team tournament is sponsored by Ousman Sowe, a native of Toubakolong.
