Gunjur league final set for July 1

The 2016 Green Vision International Real Estate Company Limited sponsored pending Gunjur Nawetan league final is slated for Saturday 1 June 2017, at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field at 4.30pm.

The much-awaited final will feature two heavy weights,Red Star Family FC and Reliance Financial Services FC, describe by many football admires from Gunjur and environs as a crunch clash.

Red Star and Reliance are both household names in Gunjur football and have won more trophies than any other teams in Gunjur nawetan.

Red Star Family FC started their nawetan league campaign with a goalless draw against Reliance Financial Services FC before playing out another goalless with FC Gamcel-Halifax Town in their second group game.

Red Star hammered Smiling Coast Real Estate Company Limited FC 7-1 in their final group game to finish top spot in group C with 5 points in three games.

Striker Saikou Chorr alias Saikou Njie alone scored four goals.

Red Star Family FC beat Waves FC 2-1 in the quarterfinal to sail to the semifinal.
