Young winger Abdou Faye came very close to opening the scoring for BEM in the 15th minute of the game from the penalty spot after striker Mbackeh Faye was brought inside the eighteen-yard box but his shot went away.
BEM opened the scores through striker Modou Lamin Marong in the 15th minute of the game to give the North Bank Region boys the lead.
Gunjur fought back for an equalizer and levelled the scores through Brikama United talisman Saikouba Manneh in the 36th minute of the game from a brilliant free-kick to send Gunjur fans to jubilation and also share the spoils.
BEM came very close to scoring their winning goal in numerous occasions but fired all their chances away.
Substitute Kansidia Touray Chala could have grabbed the winner for Gunjur in the stoppage time after smashing through BEM’s defence but his shot was punched away by BEM’s custodian Ousman Jobe thus the game ended 1-all.
