The first
edition of Gunjur Inter-house athletics competition is scheduled for day after
Tobaski 2013, at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field.
Four houses, namely Sandali Oil and Trading Company Limited, Gunjur Radio Jannehkoto FM, Food Step Ecko Lodge, and Gunjur Project, will be vying for the competition title.
They will participate in various events ranging from 100 to 200metres and other events during the competition.
The much awaited athletics competition, expected to attract large crowd from Gunjur and its satellite areas, is organised by Gunjur Athletics Association (GAA) in junction with Gunjur Youth and Sports Development Association (GYSDA)to raise funds for Gunjur zonal team, who are bracing up for the 2013 Skye Bank Gambia Limited-sponsored Super Nawettan zonal football tournament.
According to the organising committee, ticket for the competition is D10 flat at the gate.
