The
2016 Guaranty Trust Bank Gambia Limited-sponsored Principals Cup inter-schools
football competition is expected to commence today, Monday 27 June 2016, at the
Independence Stadium at 3pm and 5pm respectively.
Saint
Augustine’s Senior Secondary School will face Bureng Senior Secondary School in
the opening game in the male category at 5pm.
Saint
were champions after winning the qualifiers in Banjul, and will battle to beat
Bureng to fancy their hopes of qualifying for the semi-final.
Bureng
were champions after snatching the qualifiers in Lower River Region, and will
hunt against Saint Augustine’s to keep their dreams of qualifying for the semi-final.
In
the female category, Bottrop Senior Secondary School will play against Brikamaba
Senior Secondary School in the opening game on the same day at the Independence
Stadium in Bakau at 3pm.
Bottrop
Senior Secondary School and Brikamaba Senior Secondary School were crowned
champions after winning their qualifiers in the West Coast Region and Central
River Region respectively.
They
are prepared to beat each other to boost their hopes of progressing to the semi-final.
