GRA Commissioner General, former Commissioner questioned

The Commissioner General of the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA), Bakary Sanyang, and the former Commissioner of Domestic Tax, Musukebba Jarju Corr, were yesterday called in for questioning by state security agents, according to information received.

At the time of going to press, this paper could not confirm the reason behind their questioning.

Efforts to speak to Mr Sanyang remain futile, as he could not be reached on his phone.

However, the development comes on the heels of the presentation of the report of the Tax Commission to the President.

Meanwhile, when contacted police public relations officer ASP Yerrow Mballow said he was not aware of the reported development.
