The Gambia National Olympic Committee GNOC is set to stage an international seminar.
The seminar, according to officials, is aimed at promoting the Olympic values.
The four-day seminar which would be centred on the Olympic values and education programme in schools, such as cultural diversity, the issues of fair play, amongst others. It is also expected to attract interest from at least seven different countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cape Verde, Libya and Egypt including the host the Gambia.
According to the Executive Director of the GNOC, George Gomez, at a press briefing held yesterday at the Olympic House, the programme will commence from the 2-7th November 2009 at Paradise Suites Hotel.
He pointed out that as part of programming the Olympic Values through education, hundred students from the Abuko Lower Basic school will be use to pilot the programme that is meant to be disseminated across the country.
