GNOC Olympicafrica Central Committee visits Olympic Africa Projects

Mar 23, 2012, 1:46 PM

A nine-man delegation from the OlympicAfrica Central Committee will leave today for the provinces to visit the Gambia National Olympic Committee’s OlympicAfrica Relay projects.

The projects located in Bullock, Kaur and Farafenni are part of the GNOC’s objective to develop sports from the grassroots level by providing infrastructure within the four corners of The Gambia.

The delegation, headed by Momodou Demba, development officer at the GNOC, would visit the project sites and have meetings with local sports committees.

Another reason for the visit is to help constitute a management committee that will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre.

The delegates will also look at the structures of the centres for future developments.
