Bori Darboe, chairman of the Gambia Football Federation Marketing Committee (GFFMC), has said the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) is yet to receive D6 million and some documents from Gambia for Gold.
The Gambia for Gold was established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2010 to raise funds for the Gambia National teams ranging from U-17, U-20, U-23 to the Senior National team.
Mr Darboe made this remark at a press briefing held at the GFF Secretariat in Kanifing Layout yesterday.
Mr Darboe revealed that the GFF had written series of letters to the Gambia for Gold but they had failed to hand over the D6 million and the documents.
Mr Darboe further revealed that the GFF Marketing Committee would make all the necessary efforts to ensure Gambia for Gold hand over the D6 million and the documents to the GFF.
Mr Darboe stated that Gambia for Gold has made only a formal handing over ceremony, adding that the GFF did not receive D6 million and documents.
Mr Darboe assured the media that any time they receive the D6 million and the documents from Gambia for Gold they would call on them for a press briefing.
“I am assuring football stakeholders that the marketing committees of Gambia Football Federation (GFF) will try all means to make sure Gambia for Gold hand over the D6 million and the documents to the Football Federation,” Darboe pointed out.
