The
2019-20 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) division one and two leagues are set
for Christmas and New Year breaks following the completion of week-three
matches over the weekend.
Gambia
Armed Forces are topping the country’s elite league standings with 7 points in
three league outings after winning two games and drawing one before break.
They
will use the Christmas and New Year breaks to improve themselves for their
upcoming matches from the breaks.
Hawks
and Gamtel are second and third-places respectively in the top tier table with
6 points each after three league games.
The
duo will use the break to strengthen their weaknesses to pile pressure on table
toppers Gambia Armed Forces to increase their league title ambitions.
BK
Milan are languishing bottom-place in the league standings with zero point
after losing all their league outings.
The
Bakau based-club are hoping to start bagging points immediately when the league
matches resume to move away from the red
zone.
Meanwhile,
Samger is leading the second division league table with 7 points after winning
two games and drew one.
The
Academy boys will use the break to prepare themselves fit enough for their
match against Gunjur United immediately after the break to rejuvenate their
lead in the second tier.
PSV
Wellingara, Gunjur United, Young Africans and Kiang West are all with 6 points
each but Wellingara, Banjul and Kiang based clubs played more games than Gunjur
based team, who played only two games.
Team
Rihno are flopping bottom-place in the second tier with zero points after
losing all their league games.
The
Serrekunda Corner based-team will use the break to improve themselves to start
picking up points to move away from the relegation zone.
